Over the weekend, I saw the new Superman movie. At almost 3 hours, I thought it could’ve been a little shorter, but the length didn’t distract me too much. The story is a basic plot, Lex Luthor has an evil plan, Superman has to stop it. But this time we dive a little into Supe’s personal life. He has been in outer space for 5 years looking for Krypton and now has has to come back to Earth.
The movie is worth seeing if only for Kevin Spacey’s awesome performance as Lex Luthor. He brings the insane genius that is Luthor to life quite convincingly. The new Superman, Brandon Routh, worked out just fine. I have forgotten just how goody two shoes Superman was, after seeing Batman movies and cartoons for years, but Routh made me remember that Superman, is kinda boring.
Overall, I am happy that I saw it and would not be against anyone seeing it.
