Apparently they made a movie about this book as well.

Tracy, a friend from work, let me borrow this because she knew I would love it. I had let her borrow Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, so we were already in sync with book tastes.

Anyways, this book was pretty awesome. It was a very quick read because it was so good. It is the autobiography about a kid who grew up with some pretty bad parents, and ended up living with his very unconventional psychiatrist and his even more unconventional family of characters. The life lessons he learns are creatively taught at any rate, and he uses his life experiences to his benefit.

A definite should read in my book.
