This was also a Christmas present, from my roomie Mike. He knows me too well… I am sucker for books and I do gamble. So the book was a pretty good choice. It was a true life book, written by a journalist. The book followed the exploits of 6 or 7 people in their mid 20s in undergrad/grad school at Harvard and MIT, and how they used their blackjack techniques ( they don’t consider it cheating ) to win millions from casinos around the country, and around the world.
It was a pretty interesting read. A story is always a little more interesting if you know that it actually happened. There wasnt a whole lot of plot, little character development. You knew who the people were, and what they wanted to do. Beyond that, you simply dont need to know much more than that to appreciate the story.
It was a good read, and def worth picking up if you like true life books / gambling / (mis)adventure. The main character is even a fan of the Open Source Software movement, applying the OSS spirit to his spreading of his Blackjack techniques.
